JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a licensed EMDR-trained therapist to join our Clinical Team and work collaboratively with our trauma-focused therapeutic team for 15-20 hours per week. The EMDR therapist will be expected to be available virtually for patient care 15-20 hours per week.

The EMDR therapist will provide much need structured and compassionate time-limited trauma care for incoming and current patients at Woven Together Trauma Therapy. Personality is a major part of this position- you must be warm, compassionate, and proficient in EMDR for this position. A kind and helpful presence to potential clients is also a must.

Organizational culture

We are seeking a supportive team player to work collaboratively with a fast-growing practice of trauma survivors and their families. We are adamant about providing anti-racist, LGBTQI-affirming competent care for our patients. We participate in monthly book clubs with staff members to read research, theory, and challenging texts to support our ongoing growth and betterment as professionals. Each of our therapists are provided with monthly training via a staff portal on trauma theory, current research, helpful interventions, and community resources we have collected over the years in practice.

Reports to: CEO/Supervising Psychologist

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Licensed mental health therapists (licensed psychologist, LMFT, LCSW all welcome)

  • EMDR trained. Certification is not necessary, but a definite plus

  • Experience in working with trauma populations through an attachment and relational lens

  • Collaborate presence and skillful approach in managing difficult cases

  • Excellent social skills and organizational skills

  • Comfort with providing EMDR in a virtual manner. Some office hours are available, but most sessions will be virtual

  • This is a virtual position, but licensed in California is required. Location in Los Angeles a bonus

  • Strong clinical presence and self-motivated to complete necessary administrative tasks.

  • Interpersonal Skills: a team player with a positive attitude that works effectively with clients, co-workers, and supervisors.

  • Organization & Time Management Skills: complete chart notes in a timely manner, returns referral correspondence quickly, eager to grow practice.

  • Communication Skills: Strong computer skills, as well as oral and written communication.

  • Flexibility & Growth Mindset: holds the belief that skills can be developed through hard work, effective strategies, and input from others. Must be receptive to feedback, collaboration, and innovation.
